Getting motivated and staying motivated are two of the greatest obstacles to reaching your fitness goals. That’s the bad news. Research in the area of exercise adherence shows that you can increase your success by increasing your preparation. Which brings me to the good news: The more time and effort you invest in making decisions about fitness, the more likely you are to succeed.
Here are a few of my favorite quotes to help you think about your fitness plan:
A year from now you may wish you had started today.

To change one’s life:
1) start immediately
2) do it flamboyantly
3) make no exceptions

Rachel,
Another great article, keep them coming. I think many people need to be motivated, it is so easy to stop and so easy to make up excuses on why you can’t do this or that.
My motivation is simple, I want to be able to play with my grand kids (in twenty + years) and be able to keep up with them. I don’t want to go through joint replacement surgery and take more than 1 pill a day to combat my laziness earlier in life. My one pill btw is a vitamin, lol.
Thanks again
Joe
